Clean Energy or Tequila? I spoke with an architect yesterday about the recent studies on wildlife being killed by wind turbines. New evidence suggests that bats, not birds, are the main victims of windmill carnage. The bat’s echolocation abilities are confused by the spinning blades and results in the poor critters being turned into ground bat meat. Unfortunately, long nose bats who pollinate the agave cactus may be at risk. The agave cactus is the key ingredient in making tequila. Alcoholics both north and south of the Mexican border are petrified at the thought of the tequila industry shutting down. What do we value more, green energy or tequila? You be the judge.
