First impression: There is a huge mixed message here at Greenbuild. It’s a non-profit but the feel of a for-profit corporation is all around. The ‘set’ for the opening session looked more like that of an awards show. The conference is to spread concepts and new ideas (like the JLL ‘seed cards’, which I can’t wait to plant), but raising costs for receiving that word is really contradictory. They need to consider creativity and saving money to reduce prices and better spread the word.
