Any LEED building will need to be re-certified after 5 years. That effort will require a lot of operational data that may or may not be currently recorded. As well, the nature of LEED may originate new credits based on experience and feedback. Current owners and managers may want to go back to the LEED credits earned and ensure that what was required to qualify, continues to be the case. If so, LEED buildings will continue to be LEED buildings for decades to come.
