With under a week to go London is buzzing!  With all the Olympic Nation’s flags flying in the streets, our roads adorned with Olympic symbols and the tubes covered in Olympic signage to guide the ever growing audience to their destinations, London and Londoners are ready for the greatest show on earth.

As a passionate sporting nation and one where pomp and ceremony is part of our DNA, people in their thousands have been watching the Olympic torch cross the country -held proudly by people who have contributed in some way to their community – and looking forward to the spectacle that is to come.

Hosting the games has already made an impact with sport climbing the agenda to unite all nations and to bring more people together ro improve fitness and wellbeing. The true legacy however, will be for the East of London where the regeneration of huge areas of industrial land will add more communities to London’s ever changing landscape and keep the city at the leading edge of the world’s consciousness.  The excitement is very real and all the nation now hopes that it stops raining!!
