The Windy City is moving in the right direction when it comes to energy efficiency.

The American Council for an Energy Efficiency Economy (ACEEE) just released its second City Energy Efficiency Scorecard rankings.

Chicago sailed from #51 to #6 and is the top city in the Midwest.  It is also one of the most improved cities in the country, with a 15 point increase from the 2013 ACEEE scorecard.

One big reason is Chicago’s focus on building energy management, where the city scored 22.5 points out of 29, reaching #5 in the country.
