Last month, the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) launched an online Public Policy Library that allows users to look up green building and LEED-specific policies across the United States. The interactive database provides information on federal, state and local policies as well as tax incentives and benchmarking. The USGBC updates the database so that visitors can stay abreast of the latest changes in green building policy, and it also encourages users to update the library.
“In order to stay as fresh and current as possible, we need your help,” the USGBC said in a press release. Users can inform the organization of policy changes by filling out an online form or via email.
For more than 20 years, the USGBC has been the leader in promoting sustainable building design, construction and operation, and was the architect of the LEED green building rating system.
